crying lightning

so today i finally decided to alter this dress.  it bought it from joebrowns.co.uk in january with my birthday money, but when it came, it was much longer than i expected.  it was well over my knees.  so today, i decided to take it up, so i'd actually like wearing it.  it's been taken up about 5 inches, and it was pretty awkward, as there are two layers and they're both pretty ruffly. 

so what do you guys think?  like it?
